Daniel J. Bragunier, the son of William Bragunier & Caroline Grumbine; married 1st Sarah A. Caywood (no issue from this union); married 2nd Margaret Selina Bowie in Nov 1864 in Maryland (eight children); married 3rd Mary L. Carpenter (three children). Daniel was born on 13 Aug 1835 while his parents were living in Dayton, Ohio near his uncle Samuel Procuniar (my gr gr grandfather); Daniel died 11 Apr 1908 while living in Washington D.C.. Daniel married Sarah Caywood circa 1861 but Sarah died just a couple years later giving birth in Sept of 1863. Daniel then married Margaret Selina Bowie in Nov 1864 while living in Maryland. Together they had eight children. Margaret died in January 1880 while living in Pisgah Charles Co, MD, she is buried in the Pitgah Cemetery. Daniel married a third time in December of 1880 to Mary L. Carpenter; together Daniel & Mary had three children.
Daniel was a farmer, served in the Civil War as a Private in Company K, Reg 1 Indiana, Vol. Cav. enrolled Indianapolis June 20, 1861. Captured at Chancellorsville, Va., May 3, 1863 at Camp Parole, Md and City Point Va. May 14, 1863. Died 11 April 1908 in Casualty Hospital in Washington D.C. & buried in Congressional Cemetery in Washington, Certificate of death District of Columbia April 11, 1908 and Declaration of Widow's Pension all in A.G.O. Library, Washington D.C., US Archives. In the 1880 census for Charles County Maryland, lists Daniel J. Bragonia ae 44, born Ohio. Daniel J. was a farmer who lived for the last two years of his life in the District of Columbia; address at that time was 1238 D. Street S.E.;

Lillian Bragunier 22 July 1865-1930 (married a Mr. Mattingly and they had a daughter) Lillian died in Phil. Penn.
John Daniel Bragunier 10 April 1870-1961 married circa 1893 Mary Selena Slack (1874-before 1960), had four children all born in Charles Co, MD.
