Daniel Brecunier Jr, the son of Daniel Brockunier Sr & Barbara Rohrer; married Christina King 24 Jul 1827 in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Daniel was born on 11 Dec 1804 in Washington County, Maryland; died on 10 Feb 1863 in Franklin Grove, Illinois. Chrisina King was born on 11 May 1806 in Huntingdon or Bedford County, Pennsylvania; died on 20 Aug 1875 in Franklin Grove, Illinois. Together they had ten (10) children.

June 14, 1995 G. Kay Leach (a genealogists for hire whom I used in the past) sent me a card saying she was doing research in Fulton County, PA. on the McClain family. In land records Book W page 291 for Dublin Township, she found McClain, Wm. Jr. to Becuner, Daniel 1840. Kay says that Dublin Twp. became part of Fulton county in 1850. Daniel attended the German Seventh Day Baptist Church of Bedford County, PA near Dublin Township. At that time of land deed (1840) Daniel was 36 yrs old, had been married for 13 years & already had six children.
Note 1:
Daniel Brecunier was a Dunkard (Tunker) also refered to as the "Old German Baptist Brethren". Daniel left Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania & relocated to Bedford County, Pennsylvania in May 1840. Doing the math (As Glen Taylor says) it appears that Daniel & family moved again & out of state to Franklin Grove, Illinois in 1849.
Daniel & Christina are buried in the Emmert Cemetery, outside of Franklin Grove, Lee County, Illinois. Christina King's parents were John Henry King, SR (30 Jun 1780, died on 07 May 1835 in Shirley Twp., Bedford County, Pennsylvania) & Mary (Molly) Baker (born on 30 Apr 1781, died on 11 Nov 1839 in Shirley Twp., Bedford County, Pennsylvania).
Short biography of Daniel (Prackunier) Brecunier
Daniel Brecunier, son of Daniel & Barbara (Rohrer) Brockunier, married Christina King, daughter of John & Mary (Molly) Baker on July 24, 1827 in Huntington County Pennsylvania. They began their married life in Huntingdon County Pennsylvania.
The 1829 & 1830 Tax List for Hundingdon County, Pennsylvania show Dannel Peerkunier in 1829 (2 horses, 2 cows, then in 1830 the name Daniel Perkunier (name crossed out)
The 1830 Census of Springfield Township, Huntingdon County Pennsylvania, shows a Daniel Precunier (page 28) with one white male under five (5) years old, Daniel was about 26 years old at that time; No female is listed in that census. Daniel was next listed in the Cromwell Township tax list 1837-38-39 (Some of Shirley Township was formed into Cromwell Township). Daniel & Christina then moved to Bedford County, Pennsylvania & lived there for nine years. Daniel & Christina had ten (10) children.
In a note from G. Kay Leach (6/14/95) stating that a Daniel Becuner was deeded land from William McLain Jr. in 1840 (Book W Pg 291 for Dublin Twp.). Kay said that Dublin Township became part of Fulton county in 1850.
In the spring of 1849 Daniel, Christina & their family moved to Lee County Illinois. They lived there until they died. They are both buried, along with their son Peter, at the Emmert Cemetery outside of Franklin Grove Illinois.
Andrew M. "Pap" Deardorff & both of his wives are also buried in this cemetery. Andrew M. is the father of Jacob Deardorff, & they went to Franklin Grove in 1854. Jacob and Nancy Deardorff moved to Panora, Iowa in 1876.

Christina & Daniel came to Franklin Grove May 1849; Source: "The Bragonier Family" by Georgiana H. Randall 1969 "The Bragunier Family in America" by Brittian Bragunier Robinson 1969. Actually both say they relocated to Franklin Grove in 1840 but later research indicates they moved to Franklin Grove in 1849.

Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, was where Christina was born in the area called Germany Valley near Shirleysburg. Her family, John King moved to Fulton County in 1835 (which was then Bedford Co.) & I believe that was Taylor Twp. (I don't think Shirley Twp. was ever in Bedford or Fulton Co.) That is a small point except if one wants to locate John and Mary's home place in Fulton County, it would narrow it down. Shirley Township would be quite some miles away. I am trying now to find where John and Mary lived in Shirley Twp, Huntingdon County. Christina King Brecunier's brother Abraham King is the great grandfather of Glen Taylor.
